Customer photo review of Transit Ekko - Pop-Top Hatch Cover

Installation was easy after confirming with customer support how to do it. We have a 27 Ekko 22a with the pop-top & we were a bit nervous when we saw all the screws on the frame were self tapping (there's 16 of them). Some screws were originally installed a little crooked and we were concerned with stripping them. Overall, it was an easy process and no reason for concern. The only thing we've noticed is when driving on bumpy roads, the cover can fall down. We aren't too alarmed with this and it helps to make sure all the fabric from the pop-top is tucked in. We figured when it does fall, it's a perfect time to confirm the butterfly latch is secure. I should clarify, it doesn't fall down all the time. 90% of the time it's nice and secure. Overall I'm extremely satisfied with the cover. It helps "finish" the ceiling so it doesn't look like we have a random hole in our roof when the pop-top is not in use.

The cover was fairly easy to install and is the single best cosmetic mod we have done. Super easy to take on and off. Thank you for producing this quality product.

Really cuts down on the heat and it covers up the unsightly opening to my roof hatch pop up in my EKKO…

Ekko - Roof Hatch

We ordered the hatch cover to go with our front cab shades and rear vent cover. Like the vent cover, installation requires taking apart the molding around the hatch. Unlike the vent cover, there are more fasteners, including those that hold the ladder attachment hooks, and the magnets need to be taped down. After making a mistake (we followed the same directions as the vent cover and didn't use tape), we ultimately decided against removing all the screws again just to tape the magnets down, which had the potent to strip out/de-strengthen the ladder hardware. Instead, we put the hatch cover ABOVE the hatch opening, where it is held in place simply by the canvas and mattress. It has a better seal than the wonky moving magnets and we are fine with it.
