Very pleased. Tough to get this old body up on the bed and at the right angle for using the drill… but turned out great. Now can you come up with something for the window struts please ?🤪thx for a great product.
This is the 2nd van that we invest in VMG shades and we couldn't be happier. These Fit RV shades are the best EKKO shades on the market... high quality, insulated, and easier to operate than most zippered shades. The velcro strips that are mounted to the van itself require self-tapping screws (included), but I do wish that they still had adhesive to make the installation easier. All in all we are thrilled with our purchase.

The reason I got these was to gain extra inches in the bedroom width. I mounted them "upside down" intentionally so when the black out shade is rolled up, it is high out of the way. Also makes opening screen easier and able to open window. Would like to have had straps to hold black out shade up. I added a couple Velcro straps up top to do what I needed to accomplish. If you check with people more width in bedroom is one of the main reason for getting these. Maybe you incorporate straps to hold shade up when open.

Nice shades. I like the quality materials and craftsmanship. The zippers are really nice. Plus, by removing the stock window frames, you gain a little more elbow room since these mount flush with the wall. The fitRV mods with zippers on each side are great, rather than 1 long U-shaped zipper. And the full length magnets snap the shade or screen closed in a snap.
Our first trip with our new VanMade shades and we love them. First night temp down to 28 and we noticed a big difference in the insulation around the window. Hope they work as well with the sun beating on them in the middle of the summer. Also love the sleeker design, no more bumping up against the frame of the stock shades, and the blackout is greatly improved. Installation was mostly easy, just wish the instructions provided some accurate measurements on exact spacing for the velcro strips. Knowing how far apart the strips should be (horizontal & vertical) to keep the shade tight would have made it easier. Very minor complaint, overall I highly recommend these shades!
These window covers are great. FitRV and VanMade Gear is a perfect collaboration, taking advantage of years of trial and error. They are pricey but we think it has been worth it for the upgrade. Dragonfly.
Easy installation, great fit, and quality (but overpriced)
Shades were easy to install. They provide better insulation and ease of use compared to the stock Winnebago window shades. Just ordered one for over the dinette.

Extremely well made and I expect them to be trouble free for many years. The improvements in insulation over the stock window covers is very noticeable, in both hot and cold weather.
Great product. Very well made. Love that the velcro is screwed to the wall. And best of all, I won't be whacking my elbow on the old cassette frame when I roll over in the bed. In direct sun, the interior side of the shade was warmer than expected, however, it was definitely cooler than the cassette shade. I think they're going to be great in our sleeping space.

Great addition to the bedroom. No more knocking my knees against the old cassette shades. Nice and dark, great ventilation with the screen. Great product.
We are full time RVers and love living in our Trekko! These shades are a fantastic upgrade! We have definitely noticed how much cooler the area is with these up. The magnets that hold the shade in place at the top, are strong and keep the shade up, even when the zippers are down. The room is much darker at night as well. The quality and construction is top notch. Just like the window shades we previously bought from VMG, the stitching, fit and feel are of the highest quality. Love that they are made in America! The zippers feel sturdy and can’t snag any fabric. Really appreciate the off-set zipper design. The opening of the screen at the bottom is genius! Don’t have to open the entire screen to get the window down or locked. The screen is a finer mesh than the originals making the air flow exponentially greater! Also, I can take a picture through the screen and not have the screen in focus, blurring my subject. Having the frame gone makes the beds feel wider. It’s only about an inch, but it’s a huge inch! No more kicking the frame at night while rolling over! In our first year in our Ekko, we had both bedroom original shades replaced because the string broke making them annoying to deal with. Thankfully those were replaced under warranty. When a string broke for the second time, not under warranty, we ordered these the same day. The ease of install/use, low profile, quality, temperature control, and price point should make these the standard on all Ekkos. We were told the original shade box replacement cost was $3000, making these shades much more affordable. We plan on replacing the other 3 shades in our rig in the near future. Those shades have nothing wrong with them, we just see the better value in these shades. Now if we can just get James at FitRV and VMG to sell replacement window arms for the original ones which are poorly designed, poorly made and annoyingly frustrating, my RV dreams will be made!

We had Vanmade products in our 2017 Winnebago Travato, so we also ordered cab shades when we got a Winnebago EKKO.. we expect these FitRV bedroom window shades to work well too.
So far so good with the new shades. They sort of droop when the magnet is in place.
Excellent customer service and construction. Should update instruction sheet to add instruction for those with WGO upgraded rear shades. Not especially difficult to figure out how to remove those shades but a mention of not removing the end corners would have been helpful. I’m sure these shades are good insulators and hopefully bug proof but they are not terribly convenient to use and quite bulky when lowered. Takes many steps to deploy. I’m currently debating with myself whether the high cost was worth it. Maybe next summer will convince me they were worth it.
